The Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) of the Faculty of Science at Leiden University, and the Public Health & Primary Care (PHEG) department at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), are looking for candidates for an Assistant professor in Health Data Science (0.8-1.0 FTE). The rapid evolution and expansion of Health Data Science and the increasing integration of computing with other disciplines creates new challenges on developing and understanding modern computing systems and distributed data infrastructures. Through this position, we aim to strengthen the research and education on Health Data Science at our Institute. We are searching for an assistant professor to bring in expertise complementary to the expertise that is already present at LIACS and LUMC, as part of the multidisciplinary program Population Health.

This position offers the best of both worlds, as you will be working from both Health Campus The Hague (LUMC) and Leiden Bio Science Park (LIACS), further facilitating a strategic linking pin position in various collaborations at the junction of data science, natural language processing and automated machine learning in the broad application domains of population health, wellbeing and prevention.
