Enabling business through the adoption of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PET)

PET is a general term for a set of computer tools, applications and mechanisms which support the protection of privacy. This research will investigate whether the adoption/implementation of such technologies can enable new

  • Definition of PET
  • Overview of PET theory and technologies/solutions
  • Case studies presenting how the adoption of PET can enable new business or cooperation between companies
  • Including the solution architecture, especially in the context of a Knowledge Discovery infrastructure (i.e. how to integrate PET in a data mining environment)
