Investigate the technical and economical feasibility and innovative opportunities of immediate speech processing in the medical sector, most likely based on Medical Dragon naturally Speaking technology, and possibly as an external internship. The scientific research focus could be one or more of: technology acceptance, task-technology fit, the fitness of current speech technology to effectively support dialogue filtering, Usability engineering, the opportunitiues for speech-based process improvements, and summarization/interpretation of real-time speech input for process optimization, etc.

Example 1: when a general practitioner assesses a new patient by analysing their conversation. This would provide immediate decision support opportunities for medical information systems, i.e. Knowledge discovery, EPR (electronic patient record) generation/validation, etc.
Example 2: as an alternative input device in both primary care as in hospital information systems such as EZIS. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFFj2Ys-KJI.
