Dustmonitoring

Our team installed so-called dustmonitoring networks at several locations throughout the Netherlands. Our set-up allows fast determination of particulate matter concentrations (specifically PM1, PM2.5, PM10). Using mathematical models (i.e., inversion) the emission strenghts of various sources can be determined. Ultimately, it allows to alarm when an emission exceeds a pre-defined threshold. Moreover, these numbers are used in official reporting.
